Citizen science projects - Many organizations, such as zooniverse are fully virtual and offer ways for someone to contribute to an ongoing research project. They have many ongoing projects related to climate, ranging from counting penguin populations to salvaging data collected by research vessels as early as the 1960’s.

Learn more about recycling - Many of us know we can recycle paper and plastic water bottles, but there are many other items people can recycle. Items such as electronics, plastic grocery bags, and light bulbs may be recycled if taken to a specific recycling center, but few people do so.
Start composting - Being stuck at home has left us all with time to learn new skills. If your area does not have a composting program, it is possible to start your own at home.
Give up meat - Meat production uses considerably more water and other resources than producing plants. By consuming more produce and fewer animal products, you can reduce your carbon footprint.
